We’re grateful for all who help us support the Indiana Regional Medical Center
It has been our honor to donate a total of more than $123,000 to the Indiana Regional Medical Center through the annual Luther Ford Charity Golf Classic. This event is held in mid-May, and the weather can be anything from sunny and warm to cold and blustery. But the sun always seems to shine on the faces of the many local golfers who turn out to support this worthwhile endeavor. It's not uncommon to see as many as 150 golfers show up.
We join forces with a variety of partners to support the IRMC
This community-energizing event includes 50/50 drawings, dinner and an auction where generous donors bid on valuable donated premiums. The money that's raised at the Luther Ford Charity Golf Classic each year is donated to the Indiana Regional Medical Center and directed specifically to the M. Dorcas Clark Women's Imaging Center. In the latest event, our owner Mario Luther was grateful to donate $20,150 to the Imaging Center.
Why we're so proud to support the M. Dorcas Clark Women's Imaging Center
The Women's Imaging Center is an integral part of Indiana Regional Medical Center’s goal to provide compassionate mammography care for women in Indiana county and surrounding areas. The center uses an interdisciplinary team approach to offer patient care for the 24,000 women in Indiana County who need mammograms every year. This life-giving women's center is helping to detect and eliminate breast cancer all over Indiana County.
The Luther Golf Classic has help raised nearly $500,000 for local charities
At Luther Ford Ebensburg, we're proud that the Mario H. Luther Charity Golf Classic has raised almost half a million dollars for the community. Among the recipients are IRMC Pediatrics, the UMWA Dislocated Miners Food Bank, the American Diabetes Association, the Lupus Foundation, Mothers Against Drunk Driving and the Susan G Komen Foundation. All these organizations benefit people in communities like Cresson and Colver, PA.
In addition, Luther Ford sponsored the giveaway of a Ford truck to raise money for the local Caring for Kids campaign, contributing more than $100,000.
